The Design + Diversity Conference explores proactive ways to make the design and creative industry more diverse, inclusive and equitable.
The Design + Diversity Conference is a three-day event currently organized by owner and director Tim Hykes, the conference inspires celebrates and promotes not only diversity in design, but the diversity of design. Previously, the conference was the brainchild of Tim Hykes. His 2015 senior thesis titled Design + Diversity, talked about ways to diversify the design industry. As a member of AIGA Tim Hykes joined with Antionette Carroll in 2016 to execute the first Design + Diversity. As co-founders and co-directors, they continued to break barriers and defy the odds with each conference year after year.
