About Softer Digital Futures

SOFTER is a network and community committed to challenging the perception that technology is 'hard'. Through community building, aesthetic practices and feminist strategies, they inspire and empower women and gender minorities to practise, discuss and shape the digital industry. Their vision is to eliminate the gender gap and create more diversity within the industry.

Founded in 2020 by Nicole Jonasson and Ida Lissner, SOFTER has since facilitated conferences, workshops, talks, summer schools and residencies in Denmark, online, and most recently in London and Amsterdam. With the help and support of our wonderful community, we will soon be everywhere!
