-ing Creative Festival is the event to attend this spring in Dubai, whether you want to kick off your career or simply stay ahead of the curve.
The 6th edition of -ing Creative Festival will take place from the 9th-11th of April at Dubai Design District, and will be preceded by two days (April 7th & 8th) of workshops and networking sessions. This year, -ing is bringing the no. 1 name in design, Stefan Sagmeister, along with the designer of the Instagram logo, Mackey Saturday, the award-winning duo Noreen and Nicole and many more to share their skills and expertise with the local community. You’ll also get the chance to hang out with local celebs from Dubai’s best and brightest agencies like MullenLowe, Ogilvy, Grey, Service Plan and Geometry in networking sessions hosted at their offices. Whether you're in branding, design, UI/UX, marketing, advertising, or social media, this year’s diverse line-up will definitely have something to help you become a master of your profession.

Shuya Gong is a senior designer at IDEO CoLab and an instructor and Design Innovation Fellow at Harvard University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Talk to her about living life without plastic, rapid prototyping, and the dystopian (and utopian!) ways technology might change our daily lives. With a background in mechanical engineering and venture design from Harvard, she prototypes the future with companies at the CoLab by exploring how emerging technologies generate systemic change. She has collaborated with Target, H&M, Nasdaq, Fidelity on projects spanning the future of food, insurance, fashion, finance, and more.

Pum Lefebure is an award-winning creative director and savvy business leader, co-founder and chief creative officer of Design Army in Washington, DC. Her clients include the Academy Awards, Lucas Film, Adobe, Disney, Bloomingdale’s, Ritz Carlton, PepsiCo, Washington Ballet, Smithsonian and Neenah. Pum's hallmark is a distinctive union of the artistic and the commercial, and unique art direction which has been featured in the New York Times, Adweek, Fast Company, Forbes, Huffington Post, to name just a few. Her work has earned a plethora of awards, including D&AD, One Show, ADC, Red Dot, AIGA, SPD, and TDC, among others. Pum regularly judges elite design competitions around the world, including Cannes Lions, Clio, D&AD and Spikes Asia, served as the President of the One Show Design jury, AdFest, and London International Awards, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for The One Club in New York.

Award-winning designers Nicole and Noreen are the founders of Alternate Universe (AU), a brand-new creative venture agency in Los Angeles. Before AU, the dynamic duo led a 100+ person design team at global creative agency Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, overseeing client projects, creative direction and business development for the growing design studio. The pair have worked with global brands such as Nike, Facebook, Samsung, KFC, Airbnb, Coca-Cola, Converse, Participant Media and HP Omen. Before relocating to Portland from Los Angeles, Nicole had been running her own design agency NJ (L.A.). She began her career at The Designers Republic before joining New York’s karlssonwilker. As Chief Creative Officer at Tatcha, Noreen managed both the designers and teams across products for the U.S, China and Japan markets. Before Tatcha, she was Co-Founder and Partner of AdamsMorioka for 25 years—leading the re-branding of Nickelodeon, VH1, Sundance and The Academy of Motion, Picture Arts and Sciences.
