Touch is the fil rouge of the sixth edition of the international festival dedicated to visual design, an invitation to return to physicality and sensoriality, an invitation to stay in contact.

Graphic Days® 2021 returns with ten days of initiatives dedicated to visual design. The new edition of the festival includes exhibitions, performances, experiential activities and workshops within the space of Toolbox Coworking (Turin, Italy) and numerous events spread throughout the city.

Studio Seri/graph / Mixed Superstructure and Postmodern Compositions with Seri/graph

Together participants will build new worlds made of postmodern buildings, roads and landscapes in a day dedicated to experimentation. With the technique of collage and mixed techniques, imaginative scenarios and surreal connections will be produced; the projects will then be transformed into a collective silkscreen poster through the expert guidance of the Ukrainian female duo.

Knowledge of optical principles is fundamental for a successful logo design. One must understand how these principles facilitate readability in different contexts and sizes. Another aspect to take into consideration is the diversity of typographical variables, that help in representing the emotional attributes of a certain brand. During this workshop, the functional and expressive potential of letters will be explored, while offering essential notions for determining proper style in the vibrant contemporary typographic landscape. Each participant will experiment with logo proposals for a brand, based on a specific brief. This process will go through composing different digital fonts, conceptualizing using felt-tip pen on paper, and finding unprecedented visual solutions through experimentation with the typographical variables. Participants will critically analyze their work through group reviews, practising a professional approach to discussing the typographical artefact.
