About designTRIPS - Tokyo
Join designTrips for a jam-packed week, including three days at the Tokyo Art Book Fair, where you can enjoy book signings, lectures and workshops. You will also visit the Nippon Design Center to exchange work and ideas with Kenya Hara and his team. You will then take a walking tour of Shibuya, which will include a private lecture by Ian Lyman on the history of Japanese graphic design. Finally, you will share tea with the team from Troublemakers magazine. The itinerary also includes visits to museums, galleries and studios, as well as an evening immersed in the interactive world of TeamLab Planets.
designTRIPS brings together small groups for design-focused travel to cities around the world. Itineraries often centre around a major design event and include studio visits, lectures and workshops led by notable creatives, as well as time to explore. The travel groups comprise students, professionals and design enthusiasts who want to experience new places, find inspiration and connect with the local community and each other.
