An event to level up your career transitioning into creative leadership

What happens after a “senior” title in a creative field? The transition into leadership tracks is complex and hard to navigate, and most people in their first years switching from IC to manager say they felt they could have used much more support. Furthermore, the skills from a great designer do not correlate with those of a great leader. Leadership requires a different kind of expertise, and it is really hard to find relevant content or events on the specific topic of creative leadership.
Leadership Ateliers: A 2-day training event

This is why, the people at Hatch Conference started the Leadership Ateliers: A 2-day training event on May 15-16 where 60-80 designers transitioning, or in the early stages of their leadership career get together to learn with the best facilitators in Europe, as well as spending time together and unlocking a new network of fellow leaders in their same stages of their career that become a valuable asset in the months after the event.

The Leadership Ateliers take place in Berlin’s Silent Green Kulturquartier, a beautiful cultural center with an antique flair but fantastic and modern installations. Each participant has the choice between 10 different workshops and masterclasses, building their curriculum as desired.

The facilitators are big names in the industry with backgrounds in companies like AJ&Smart, Meta, N26, Hotjar, Booking.com, and many more. There are big names like Vitaly Friedman, Dee Scarano, Katharina Koberdamm, Florian Holstein and also uprising stars like Venessa Bennett (Dye & Durham), Jascha Goltermann (Booking.com), and more. You can check the full schedule of the classes here, but some might be sold out so please check before booking.

Participants will share breakfast and lunch every day, as well as enjoy free drinks, snacks and specialty coffee all day. And after each day ends, there is a special event to allow people to relax and get to know each other. Day one finishes with a keynote by Paola Mariselli, Director of Product Design at Bumble and a three course seated dinner in the beautiful Dome Hall. The second day, ends in a more relaxed event with fingerfood and drinks.

The event is sponsored by UserTesting and Figma, and promises to be a transformative experience for anyone who feels they could use some support in their path to leadership.
